Mississippi to host startup/small business loan workshop

For entrepreneurs and small business owners in or planning to be near the central Mississippi area in a couple weeks, a workshop offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration may be just what you need to launch/grow your operation.

The program – Startup First Steps and SBA Loans – is a workshop that will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on March 7 at the Hinds Community College Small Business Development Center, 1500 Raymond Lake Road, Raymond, Miss.

There’s no cost to attend, but seating is limited and registration is required. If you’re interested, it’s a good idea to go ahead and reserve your spot now.

Here’s more from the SBA:

Starting a new business is a daunting task.  Many questions need to be answered.  Where and how will I get financing?  What is my best option?  How do I register my business?  What about legal structures for my business.  The clinic will provide answers to these questions and more; and point you in the right direction towards starting and financing your new business venture.

Attending this clinic may be one of the most import decisions you make.  Leave the clinic with specific tools and tips that will help you prior to opening your doors.

Speakers will be Jim Harper, director of the Hinds Community College SBDC and Rosetta Harris, lender relations specialist with the SBA.
