As part of its $3 million campaign to promote entrepreneurship, Chase will award $250,000 each to a dozen small businesses as part of its annual Mission Main Street grants program.
Applications are now being accepted, so make sure to go online and register now. Small businesses need to get at least 250 votes to qualify, so spread the word among customers, family and friends. The grants are designed to held grow small companies that have been operating for at least two years.
Lucky winners will receive the funds, online marketing tools and a two-day trip to Google’s headquarters for an interactive workshop.
But you need to apply to be considered and the clock is ticking.

- Today through October 31, small businesses can visit www.MissionMainStreetGrants.com to complete a business profile and grant questionnaire.
- U.S.-based, for-profit small businesses, in operation for at least two years and employ less than 100 full-time employees are eligible to apply. The website has the full eligibility requirements.
- The public can vote for their favorite small business via Facebook until November 15. Small businesses that apply must get 250 votes in order to be eligible for a grant.
- 12 expert panelists will select the grant recipients from the pool of applicants who meet program eligibility requirements. The grant recipients will be announced in January 2014.
